Benny serves as our Lead Pastor/Elder. He is a self-proclaimed Bible nerd and would rather spend an hour in an old, dusty, used book store, than in a shopping mall, without question. He enjoys reading and has somehow embraced the notion that he can equally love movies...so, he loves movies too. He can occasionally be found on a basketball court with younger men who allow him to pretend that the gray in his beard is only a mark of wisdom and not at all an indicator that he's no longer in his prime. He and his wife, Julie, have been married for over 20 years and are blessed with 3 boys and a dog named Teddy. For those counting, Julie is profoundly outnumbered. Benny is a graduate of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and in either a volunteer or vocational capacity, has been in ministry for over 25 years.

Jordan serves as our Student Ministry Intern. He is in the process of getting both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Pastoral Ministries from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has recently taken up the game of golf, and even though he is not good right now he still plays as much as possible. Jordan also plays both flag football and basketball at SEBTS during the intramural seasons. He is coming up on two years of marriage to his wonderful wife Millie.

Juanita serves as the Kid's Ministry Facilitator. She is passionate about helping others, especially kids and animals. With a heart that wishes she could foster every child and pet in need, she balances her busy life as a mom to a lively 3-year-old, two cats, two dogs, and a few foster animals alongside her husband, Christopher. Holding degrees in Communications and Healthcare Administration, Juanita finds the most joy in giving back to the community. You will also find her soaking up the sun, watching movies, or hosting spontaneous dance parties in her kitchen. After moving around in her earlier years, Juanita has called North Carolina home since 2008 and can’t imagine living anywhere else. Above all, she’s driven by her love for Jesus and sharing His love with everyone she meets.

Aaron and Samantha serve as our Interim Worship Leaders. They have served side-by-side in worship ministry for almost the entirety of their marriage (almost 15 years)! They have 3 kids and 3 dogs - their resumes include “circus management.” During the week you can find them serving people through their power washing business, homeschooling their children, or taking their kids to softball and baseball games. Above all, they love serving the Lord and His people!

Marcy serves as our Communications & Executive Assistant. She has over 20 years of experience in church administration, communications, connections, and guest services. She loves Jesus, coffee, Photoshop, and baseball - in that order. She is married with four kids, two kids-in-law, one grandchild, and a grumpy cat. If she’s not a the office, you’ll find her at a coffee shop. She and her husband are members of Vision Church in Knightdale where she volunteers as their Communications Director.
