What to expect
Info for your first visit

We've put together some helpful info for your first visit. Take a look at our FAQs.

  • What is it like? From the outside, our property is very quaint. We meet in an older, traditional church building that was constructed around 60 years ago. However, on the inside, as you gather with us, we hope you will notice that we are striving for relevance, meaningful membership, and impactful ministry. We try not to get hung up on the small things and are intently focused on our mission, vision, pillars, and our discipleship focus. We are a Southern Baptist Church and not ashamed of that affiliation. However, we do not view our denominational affiliation as most important. In fact, we are not huge fans of stamps or camps and instead, we are striving to be a biblically saturated, mission-minded, community-impacting, and family-friendly church, where you can not only be introduced to Christ, but can also find a clear path to grow in your relationship with Christ and with others.
  • What about my kids? We love families with kids and we look forward to connecting with you. In the future, we hope to have a full offering of classes and growth opportunities for kids of all ages. Presently, we offer kids church during the Sunday morning service for kids birth - 2nd grade. In addition, we also have an exciting Wednesday evening program available for kids and for students. Finally, we gladly welcome families who wish to keep their kids with them during the morning service. Our team has put together some “busy bags” for parents to utilize with their little ones on Sunday morning, filled with engaging activities and helpful tools. We are always looking for new team members go join us so if The Way becomes your home church and you wish to serve in a meaningful way, please reach out to our team to find out ways serve within our kids ministry.
  • Where do I park? Feel free to find any parking place available on Sunday mornings as you enter our parking lot. We also have overflow parking in the back portion of the property, just pull onto the lawn area and make your way inside.
  • What do I wear? Come as you are. Obviously, we would not want you to feel embarrassed or ashamed by dressing in a manner that draws needless attention to yourself; however, we do not have a “dress code ministry team”. Occasionally, our student ministry team may have to offer some loving direction to students who’s attire deserve some wise perspective. Otherwise, feel free to come dressed casually, or drag out that three-piece suit and Sunday morning dress, and remind the rest of us with your presence that perhaps we need to go through our worn out closet and get rid of that 25-year-old T-shirt we’ve convinced ourselves is still in great shape.
  • How can I get connected? We believe deeply in meaningful membership. It is our conviction that healthy churches not only grow wide as you add more people to your gathering time, but also deep as we explore what it means to grow in our relationship with the Lord and grow deep in relationship with one another. We’ve made this a priority for The Way. For starters, we have a simple three step process for any person to become a meaningful member. In addition, on Sunday mornings, our volunteers are fully available and would love to answer any of your questions. You will also notice on Sunday morning, our connection table, with a helpful volunteer who can walk you through any of the details related to taking next steps. Finally, our hope and prayer is to launch a vibrant and impactful small group ministry by the end of March, 2025. This would be a great avenue for those interested in meaningful relationships with others.
